They are great shots.
Pity the 43 wasn't leading I haven't seen many shots of them.

Thanks Ed.

It is a pity they had the 43 leading north instead of south, difficult to get good shots of it in the early morning, but no matter, at least it got up here!

Gentlemen please excuse the 5 chime horn on the nose of GM 2, we do have the proper horns for it but have been a bit slack and have not done it, also I will let you in on some secret's about that loco, the numberboards are stickers as the old glass was not able to be cleaned up enough to look good, also the blue lining is lining tape not paint. But it does look good when you walk in the front door of the Ron Fitch pavilion at the NRM at Pt Adelaide!

I will probably get my balls removed with a blunt knife for letting this out, but what the hell! :D

The Leslie super typhon.
Best god damn whistle known to god damn man.
Scare the shit outa cunts up to 500 meters away.

Followed closely by the Nathan 5 chime.
They hit a beeeauutifil "C" note.

Nothing like those gay arse whistles on the PN class, they are loud but instead of sounding like "gerrorf the track cunts" they sound more like a mincey "OOOHH look at me I'm a train".

A train driver member of the NRM has bought a brand new set of Leslie 5 chime horns and a set of Nathans as well, he sometimes hooks them up to our large air compressor at the museum and lets em rip. What a bloody noise close up they are, but they most certainly say "get out of the bloody way"! :D

Some local trackwork bulldoggery from yesterday. Unfortunately what you can't see is B76 hiding behind GM10

As seen from the Railway St levelxing.

Propelling the trackwork train Down out of Corrimal towards Towradgi Creek. The propelling movement went via the crossovers so the train was eventually going Down on the Up (waits for inevitable dirty joke....).

Image

As seen from Corrimal's Down platform, the train now in place on the Up in the vicinity of the Towradgi Creek bridge.

Hey guys, Absolutely love the photos. Great work.

Especially like the photos of the Mexican's doing work north-o-the-border.
I could probably find more photos but I'll just put two of my favorites here

B74 runs around at Ballarat on an SRHC Special (I think the VR Blue and Gold lends itself quite nicely to black and white photos)
